To make your wedding truly memorable they offer various
wedding photography styles and presentations to suit all
types of wedding. These are:
Classical/Directed – The
traditional formal style
This coverage could be described as traditional with set piece arrangements
of the wedding party, family and friends together with location photography
for the Bride and Groom. Martin and Elaine work primarily with a package price
structure. However, you may select your specific requirements and a quote can
be provided accordingly.
Photo-journalistic/Documentary –
The casual informal reportage style
Documentary
photographic coverage has become increasingly popular
in recent years, recording the proceedings of the day
as they unfold from the Bride’s preparations to
the evening’s entertainment as required. Ideally
no direction is given by the photographer only brief
interaction is necessary to produce a true record of
the events as they unfold. The client has a choice as
to what aspects of the wedding should be emphasised.
All Martin and Elaine require is a Shot List form to
be completed for group photographs, or a brief from the
client to work within on the day and leave the rest to
them.
Combined
While
some couples still want their wedding day to be photographed
in classical style, the majority prefer a combined approach
which includes photo-journalistic/documentary coverage.
Being a husband and wife team enables Martin and Elaine
to work quickly on the various set-up group photographs
and then continue with the casual/documentary photography
covering the progress of events with two cameras, thus
capturing casual images of the wedding together with
the more formal elements.
The emotions of the day are recorded with the minimum of intrusion using a
photo-journalistic/documentary style of photography where the shots are taken
unobtrusively and discreetly. They do not stage-manage your function but photograph
the events as they happen.
