Martin Silvester has worked as a professional photographer for a number of International Companies in a dual employment role, whilst also carrying out the duties of a Chartered Engineer. He fulfilled an ambition to work independently as a Freelance Commercial/Social Photographer, when he moved to Cumbria with his wife Elaine, their second home for many years.

Wedding photography has been a speciality combining a traditional/informal style for the past fifteen years. Martin is a qualified Member of the British Institute of Professional Photography and The Royal Photographic Society, bodies internationally respected for their members’ work. Elaine Silvester has been an enthusiastic photographer for the past thirty plus years since meeting Martin and they work on weddings together. Elaine organises the programme of photography assisting with set-ups and taking photographs as necessary, particularly during the Bride’s preparations if required.

Together they will make your wedding photography enjoyable and stress free, whatever the conditions they work for you to achieve the coverage required. They attend as paid guests at your wedding and are not the dominant factor, a common criticism made of wedding photographers when they work alone.

They employ the latest techniques in digital or film photography (if preferred); employing proven methods to ensure photography is of a high standard technically and artistically.
